About Nora ♥

Nora Vayle writes about the gap between what we're taught about love and what actually works.

She spent her twenties following every rule she'd ever absorbed about relationships—waiting to be "ready," trying to need less, performing independence, chasing intensity, settling for good enough—and getting it spectacularly wrong. Twice.

Her books are what happened when she finally started questioning the inherited beliefs running her life.

Love: 12 Inherited Beliefs That Sabotage Our Relationships is her first book, written between therapy sessions, late-night conversations, and the slow unlearning that comes from building something real. It's born from journal entries she never meant to share and the realization that most relationship advice is designed to keep you small, not help you grow.

Nora writes the way she wishes someone had spoken to her when she was staying too long, settling for fine, and wondering if wanting more made her unreasonable. No platitudes. No toxic positivity. Just the truth from someone who's been in the trenches and came out the other side with something worth saying.

She lives between England and Scotland with her partner, spending her time in independent bookshops, overthinking everything over flat whites, and writing her next book.

If Love: 12 Inherited Beliefs That Sabotage Our Relationships helped you, challenged you, or pissed you off in a way that mattered, she'd genuinely love to hear about it.
